2020 · Vilnius
Lukas and our family
Lukas was born in Vilnius. Parenthood began a process of learning to understand his needs.

The early years
Looking for answers
Our family recalls that after his MMR vaccination, Lukas experienced a complete developmental regression. We noticed marked changes in his communication and greater sensitivity to touch. We are sharing our experience and the sequence of events, without establishing what caused these changes. We began looking for ways to understand Lukas’s needs and find support.

2022 · Madeira
Meeting another family
We arrived in Madeira in February. There we met another family raising an autistic child. Those conversations encouraged us to continue seeking professional advice and knowledge.

2022 · Continuing the search
Travel and consultations
We travelled to Germany for specialist consultations. Later, we consulted a doctor from Italy. This was an earlier chapter in our family’s journey.

The years that followed
Approaches we tried
Over the years, our search for support for Lukas included hyperbaric oxygen therapy, B12 injections, folinic acid (leucovorin), procedures using stem cells and exosomes, and intranasal immunoglobulins. This is part of our family’s experience, not a treatment plan or a recommendation for other families. Family observations alone cannot establish the effectiveness of any particular approach.

LukoLab today

Experience became action.

Today, LukoLab’s work includes family support, sharing knowledge, documentation projects, technology development and international connections. All six areas share a starting point: our family experience.
